It doesn’t have to be that way! Life is not about the destination; it’s about the journey: how you get there. And before you take that first step on your journey, you need to know not how to go, but how to stop. Stopping and becoming aware is the beginning of making meaningful change in how you think, move and live.

There’s a beautiful saying by Confucius: ‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step’. Before we take that first step, we need to know how to stop. In other words, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step – and also a single stop. That’s why my techniques all begin with “Take a Mindful Moment”. It is not about the journey, but how we got there. Many of us live our lives focused on the goal, getting home or to the office and we don’t notice the lights, sounds, movements that are part of getting there…

Stop a moment and become aware of how you are feeling right now. Stopping and becoming aware is the beginning of making meaningful change in how you think, move and live.

Taking a mindful moment will help your health, your ease in your daily activities, your relationships, your joie de vivre and your ability to cope with the challenges of life.

I invite you to take a mindful moment and begin to pay attention to how you move and how much stress there is in your body in your everyday activities. I offer you ten weekly activities, one per week, in which you will drive your car with more attention, brush your teeth, wash your hair and others, all the time taking a mindful moment, moving with more attention, more ease and less tension.
